Discomfort in the knees is most often caused by the shock and jarring of ground reaction forces. Knees absorb and buffer the rest of the body from this trauma. Usually an overuse injury, this condition can be helped by reducing your level of training or activity for a period of time. Also, training or working on a softer surface is advised. If problems persist, consult your physician about conditioning exercises and medication.
