A Pes Cavus foot is extremely tight and inflexible with a high arch. The heel tilts outward while the forefoot flairs inward. This then creates high pressure points underneath the forefoot and heel. A Pes Cavus foot often develops a Claw Toe condition which adds even more pressure on the sole of the forefoot. As a result, callusing can form under the ball of the foot, and arch strain can also become a problem.
