Supination is just the opposite of pronation. Check out the wear patterns along the soles of your old shoes. Wear along the outside (opposite side of arch) from heel to toe is an indication of supination. Excessive wear may show that help is necessary.  Generally observed in a high-arched foot and less common than pronation, supination symptoms can include strain on the knee or strain on the lateral (outer) side of the foot and ankle.
